About Me

House of Debra has many rooms that God and I created for you. Let me tell you a little bit about me. I was born in Wilson N.C. raise in Brooklyn, New York. I moved to Henrico VA in 2003. I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. I worked over 25 years in Health Care as a certified nurse aide, monitor tech, and clinical remoter coder.

DebCutUP

In 2014, I walked out on faith to pursue my passion in fashion by cutting t-shirts and tank tops in various styles. One day I cut one of my husband’s t-shirts in the back like an hourglass shape. Then, I posted it on Facebook and the response was Awesome! I got 4 orders for t-shirts right away. So, I started cutting different styles hoping the people would like them too; which they did. I came up with the name DebCutUp, which means I am cutting up t-shirts and Tank tops.

Crochet:

My Hats and Scarves are hand made crochet. One of a kind, especially made for you. varies styles, Beanie, Waffle, Basket weave, Puff, for now.

PookieJams

I love cooking for my family and friends and creating different meals and sweet treats. In 2018, I made some jams for the holiday for family and friends. A dear friend of mine asked if I could make up a twenty set of six of my jams, for him to give out as gifts. I never thought my jams, now called “PookieJams”, will go so well. My flavors are blackberry, blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, pear, kiwi, and mango. I came up with the name “Pookiejams” because Pookie was my nickname years ago. However, nowadays the name “Pookie” has gotten a bad rap. My goal is to have the “Pookie” name shine like the stars above with Pookiejams; once you taste it you have to come back for more!
